Our Massage Courses are designed for students who want to develop practical skills and professional knowledge in the health and wellness industry. We offer the following qualifications:

• Certificate IV in Massage Therapy
• Diploma of Remedial Massage

These courses provide students with hands-on training in massage techniques, client care, anatomy and physiology, health assessment, and workplace health and safety practices.

Students will learn how to perform relaxation massage, therapeutic massage, and remedial massage treatments to support clients with pain management, stress relief, injury recovery, and general wellbeing. Training includes practical clinic-based activities and simulated workplace environments to prepare students for employment in the massage and complementary health industry.

Graduates may gain employment opportunities in massage clinics, wellness centres, spas, rehabilitation clinics, fitness centres, and private practice settings.

Certificate IV in Massage Therapy

Course Description

The Certificate IV in Massage Therapy provides students with foundation skills and knowledge to perform general health maintenance massage treatments.

Students will learn:

• basic anatomy and physiology,
• relaxation massage techniques,
• client consultation skills,
• infection control procedures,
• safe work practices, and
• professional communication skills.

This qualification prepares students to provide massage treatments under limited supervision in a range of health and wellness environments.

Diploma of Remedial Massage

Course Description

The Diploma of Remedial Massage provides advanced knowledge and practical skills in remedial massage therapy.

Students will learn how to:

• assess client needs,
• develop treatment plans,
• perform remedial massage techniques,
• treat musculoskeletal conditions,
• support injury prevention and rehabilitation, and
• provide therapeutic treatment programs.

This qualification prepares students to work independently as remedial massage therapists in clinical and professional healthcare environments.

Entry Requirements

International students must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have an IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent (test results must be no more than 2 years old) with no individual band below 5.0.
• Have completed Year 12 or an equivalent qualification.

Candidates may also be required to complete:

• a pre-enrolment Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment, and
• a course entry interview to determine suitability for the course.

Course Duration

• Full-time study duration: One (1) year
• Total Duration: 52 Weeks (including holidays)
• Contact Weeks: 40 Weeks

The courses are delivered over a period of 52 weeks, including holiday breaks. Training is conducted across four academic terms of 10 weeks each.

Students will receive:

• a 2-week break between terms, and
• a 6-week holiday break at the end of the year.

Classes are scheduled for 20 hours per week.

Training includes both classroom learning and practical clinic-based sessions. Students will participate in simulated workplace activities and supervised massage practice sessions.

Delivery Mode and Location

These courses are delivered face-to-face in classroom and practical clinic environments, including simulated workplace activities.

Students will complete practical training using industry-standard massage equipment and clinical facilities under trainer supervision.

The courses do not require mandatory external work placement. All training and assessments are completed on campus.

Course Progress

Students are required to:

• attend scheduled classes for 20 hours per week, and
• maintain satisfactory academic progress according to the college’s Course Progress Policy.

Students identified as being at risk of not meeting course requirements will receive additional academic support and may be placed on an intervention strategy.

Enrolment and Orientation

After a student’s application is accepted, the college will provide:

• a Letter of Offer,
• a Written Agreement, and
• a Tax Invoice for prepaid fees.

Students must read all documents carefully before signing the agreement.

A Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) will be issued after the signed documents are received.

Orientation takes place on the first day of the course and includes information about:

• the campus,
• living in Australia,
• student support services,
• clinic and safety requirements,
• course expectations, and
• academic progress requirements.

Training Arrangements

Students are required to:

• attend 20 hours of classes each week, and
• complete approximately 10 hours of homework, practical activities, research, and self-study per week.

Term timetables will be provided before the commencement of each term.

Practical training sessions may include:

• client consultation,
• massage treatment planning,
• relaxation massage,
• remedial massage techniques,
• musculoskeletal assessment,
• clinic operations,
• hygiene and infection control procedures, and
• workplace safety practices.

Assessment methods for these qualifications may include:

At the beginning of each unit, trainers will explain:

• assessment requirements,
• due dates,
• assessment conditions, and
• practical clinic expectations.

Assessments may be completed individually or in groups where applicable.

Course Enrolment and Tuition Fees

Course fees are as follows (Australian Dollars):

• Enrolment Fee: AUD $250
  (non-refundable and payable at the time of application)
• Tuition Fee: AUD $14,400

Tuition fees will not change during the course duration. Additional non-tuition fees may apply.

International students are also required to arrange Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) before arriving in Australia.

Course fees do not include uniforms, massage equipment, textbooks, or software required for study.

Failure to pay course fees may result in cancellation of enrolment.

Other Requirements

Students are required to provide:

• their own laptop or similar device,
• appropriate clinic uniform and footwear, and
• personal items required for practical sessions.

Students may also need access to software such as Microsoft Office for completing assignments and assessments.

Course Credit

Students may apply for:

• Credit Transfer, or
• Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Applications can be submitted during enrolment or before starting the relevant unit of competency.

For international students, approved course credit may reduce:

• the course duration, and
• tuition fees.

If course credit is approved after the Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) has been issued, students will receive a new CoE showing the updated course duration.
